Artist Biography
Maria Accordino is a dedicated graphic designer from West Springfield, Massachusetts. From a young age, Maria was intrigued by the colorful patterns of Vera Bradley and Lily Pulitzer. Maria took art classes outside of school and fell in love with drawing and painting. Maria knew that she wanted to step outside of her comfort zone to try something new so she entered Endicott as a graphic design major. Although she did not know how to use Adobe Suite, she trusted her creative eye and confidence in technology to create successful designs.
Prior to seeking a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Endicott College, Maria took summer classes at Montserrat College of Art. Additionally, she studied abroad in Florence, Italy in the Fall of 2021. Throughout her four years at Endicott, Maria has completed three internships: one was at The Internship and Career Center on campus; the second one occurred at Quality Beverage in Chicopee, Massachusetts; and the final semester-long internship was at General Dynamics in Taunton, Massachusetts. Maria plans on residing in the Beverly area as she finds creative inspiration from Boston and the surrounding beaches.
Looking to pursue a career in packaging design, Maria is drawn to bright colors, patterns, and unique typography. Her designs can be considered clean but bold with pops of color and illustrative elements. Maria is very appreciative of her professors throughout her four years at Endicott College as well as her “family” in College Hall who provided unconditional support and encouraged her to take risks as she followed her artistic intuition.

Thesis Abstract
Two Ends Coffee Roasters is a coffee company created in an effort to bring back the art of conversation. With the increases in technology and the hustle and bustle of everyday life, drive-thrus have become increasingly popular. Two Ends Coffee Roasters recognizes this and is looking to incorporate both delicious coffee and conversation into the already busy lives of everyday people around the world.
Two Ends Coffee Roasters highlights three countries (Colombia, Ethiopia, and Greece) where subscribers have the opportunity to discover and learn more. Subscribers also have the ability to choose a subscription box or could buy the products individually. Each subscription box is supplied with three cold brew concentrates, three tubes of coffee grounds, a surprise gift, a coffee mug, and a snack native to the country that they are visiting.
Along with the extensive components included within each box, subscribers are also able to scan the QR code on the inside of their subscription box, or on the back of the coffee containers to begin conversing with someone from around the world. The tagline of Two Ends Coffee Roasters is “coffee with a conversation” Therefore, through our website, users are given the opportunity to choose a specific pen pal or to go random! Once the letter has been written, our team will translate the message and then send your postcard to your pen pal. Subscribers are able to choose the design that is placed on the front of the postcard from our many templates or by uploading their own photographs.
Thank you to my friends and family for encouraging me throughout this process and to Erik Modahl from Beantrust Coffee for sharing his knowledge of coffee and teaching me about the art of conversation.
