Thesis Abstract
The Huna House is a community center that employs the homeless population and in return provides them with services and amenities they might otherwise not have access to. The Huna House strives to create a nourishing and healing environment that promotes the formation of relationships and a close-knit community. By creating a community center in downtown Honolulu that incorporates biophilia and horticultural therapy, the homeless will be equipped with the skills, resources, and mental well-being necessary to obtain a job with a living wage.
