Haley Chioda

Artist Biography

Haley Chioda is a member of Endicott College’s class of 2020, who will soon graduate with a B.F.A in Interior Architecture. Having a mother who works in the design field, she sparked her love for design at an early age. Haley knew immediately that design was what she was meant to do. From several internships, she was really drawn to residential design. Each design has its own story, since each client is unique in their own way. Haley loves getting to know a client on a personal level and in order to create spaces where they will live and grow.
Frontier Family allowed Haley to incorporate the design type she loves, as well as tackle a problem that is so prevalent in today’s society. Sexual assault is a national issue and it is especially evident in rural America, specifically in Alaska, were victims do not have access to the help and resources that they need. This facility was designed to give abuse victims long term transitional housing, as well provide any resources to serve their physical, mental and emotional needs. The design of Frontier Family gives abused women and their children a sanctuary and a sense of home, as well as support and protection in an environment where they can draw strength from those around them.
