Thesis Abstract

Block Thirteen.12 is a community resource center that targets low-income single-parent families. We empower low-income communities by investing in the growth, well-being, and success of the individuals who live within them. By providing learning resources followed up by employment opportunities we assist single parents as they work to build their career and aim to have a financially sustainable lifestyle. We support the younger generation by providing a variety of learning modalities while offering them opportunities to explore success through extracurriculars. We are committed to creating a centralized community hub that integrates childcare, career training, job opportunities, youth programs, and essential services to support both parents and children through a multigenerational approach. By strengthening individuals and families from within, we aim to cultivate resilient communities, promote long-term economic prosperity, and break the cycle of poverty through opportunity, connection, and sustainable support systems.
