Shauna Cronin

Artist Biography

Shauna Cronin is an emerging interior designer driven by a passion for creating beautiful, intentional spaces. Completing her studies in Interior Architecture, Shauna approaches every project with a thoughtful balance of form, function, and emotional resonance. Her work explores how design can shape experience, enhance well-being, and encourages meaningful connections between people and the environments in which they live. Guided by a deep sensitivity to the human experience of space, Shauna’s designs are not only visually concentrated, but also carefully attuned to the needs and behaviors of their users. Shauna looks forward to traveling to new places and gathering inspiration from new scenery. She intends to use her creative process to make her mark in the world of interiors – designing spaces that are not just seen, but deeply felt.

Thesis Abstract

Mending Minds is an outpatient mental health facility for individuals with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). The center is focused on providing a variety of treatments for patients including, cognitive behavioral therapy, support group, ecotherapy, mindfulness meditation, sensory therapy, sound therapy, and art therapy. The variety of treatments focus on a healthy restructure of overall wellness and mental health. The design intent is to incorporate wellness and biophilia to create spaces that foster a deep connection to nature and inspire a sense of calm and vitality in everyday life. Time spent in the environment is meant to influence a feeling of restoration and reformation of the mind and to bring hope for the beauty that lies in their future.
