Samantha Ginsberg

Artist Biography

Samantha Ginsberg is a senior at Endicott College pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture. She was born and raised in Westborough, Massachusetts, where she currently resides. Growing up, Samantha loved to decorate and be creative when it came to projects. In primary school, she was involved in the fine arts; participating in multiple choirs, a member of the technical lighting crew for the theater department, and was on the Varsity Softball team. At Endicott, Samantha is a member of the Lambda Zeta Chapter of Kappa Pi: Visual and Performing Arts International Honors Society and a multi-semester Dean’s List recipient. During her time at Endicott, she served as a Resident Assistant and a Residence Coordinator for the Office of Residence Life. Her leadership and ability to mentor are noticeable inside and outside of the classroom. In the fall of 2025, Samantha will be pursuing her Master of Arts in Interior Architecture at Endicott College.

Thesis Abstract

Can teen mental health and suicide issues be reduced with better access to proper resources and education in high-risk communities? Constellations: Mental Health Education, located in Rapid City, South Dakota, focuses on providing supportive resources and exceptional education to teenagers struggling with mental health and suicidal ideation. South Dakota is ranked #7 among the 50 United States with the worst healthcare. By creating a facility that can provide accessible mental health services, teenagers are more likely to receive the help and resources they need. Constellations also provides family services that include financial assistance, family therapies, and events that cater to the needs of teenagers. The concept of Constellations: Mental Health Education is to achieve a positively stimulating, yet not overwhelming, experience for teenagers and families. The facility is broken up into 5 major sectors, including a Counseling Center, Community Event Space, Education Wing, Teen Hotspot, and Family Resource Base. Each of these spaces exemplifies exceptional design consideration that best represents the user group. Constellations: Mental Health Education strives to improve the overall well-being of teenagers struggling with mental health battles and provides services and education to those who are seeking assistance with the management of emotions. By creating more knowledgeable mental health and suicide prevention services, teens growing up in the 21st century can feel better supported by family, friends, and mental health professionals.
