Thesis Abstract
Our Neighborhood is a prototype agricultural learning center, with a focus on hand-on education and local business promotion is what small rural farmers and their community need to strive for in a primarily mass and urban production society. Implementing experiential learning strategies and reflecting on adaptive farming practices is how farmers and locals can expand their knowledge and show support for all who are facing the challenges that come with local agriculture.
Analyzing issues such as climate change, sustainability, lack of community involvement, and the impact of fast food, Our Neighborhood offers an equitable solution for local farmers and their wellbeing. This space allows for local business promotion, which will not only help farmers, but their local community and commerce as well. Our Neighborhood plans to expand this
community learning center to all rural farming land in hopes of creating an equitable solution for local agriculture and the challenges that come with it.
