Artist Biography
Laura Timko is a part of the Endicott College class of 2024, graduating with a BFA in interior architecture. In addition to being a student in the Manninen Center for the Arts; she was also a student athlete all three years during her time at Endicott College, being a part of the Endicott College Cheerleading Team. During her time on the team, she cheered at every home football and basketball game as well as competed nationally at college nationals. After graduation, Laura plans on heading back to Endicott to receive her MBA as well as diving into the residential design field.
Thesis Abstract
As an individual who has suffered with unexplainable amounts of anxiety my entire life, I really wanted to create a thesis that I felt could help somebody like me. I have been in and out of therapy offices for a good part of my life, always feeling like I didn’t receive the help I was looking for. My hope for my thesis project is that anybody who sees my project is able to realize that there should not be a negative stigma around receiving therapy for your mental health. I also hope that people are able to realize that there are other options out there, even though they may not seem as obvious as the traditional therapy option is.
