Thesis Abstract

Tackle Dash is a ground-breaking program that combines the competitive spirit with the admirable goal of increasing public awareness and support for a range of medical illnesses. Fundamentally, Tackle Dash is a charity football game in which two teams go head-to-head. In contrast to traditional games that are only about winning, this one goes beyond the field by using its platform to raise awareness of those who are fighting a variety of illnesses. Every year, a carefully curated list of illnesses is featured, including Crohn’s disease, diabetes, breast cancer, sickle cell anemia, and mental health issues such as depression. Tackle Dash uses the thrilling rivalry between teams on the football field to highlight health concerns that are sometimes ignored while promoting a sense of community and support. Crohn’s disease and diabetes are highlighted this year, emphasizing the continued dedication to addressing health issues with courage and compassion.
