Ever since she was a little girl, she could be found with a marker or crayon in her hand creating some sort of masterpiece. As she approached the culmination of her high school years, she stumbled upon the mouse and trackpad, igniting a fervent passion for graphic design that would captivate her thereafter. This gave her the perfect blend of technology and art that she never knew she needed until she had it. Through many late nights and much exploring, Emma found a deep passion for creating illustrative designs that are catered to a broad audience. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and an eye for detail, she translates even the wildest ideas into realities, even if it takes her 4 years to do so. Her love for art runs more than just for graphic design, as Endicott has opened her heart to new and old art forms, with one main one being photography. Whether she’s wielding a computer or a camera, she embraces every chance to create with a curiosity-driven, experimental spirit that infuses her work with freshness and dynamism. In today’s swiftly evolving educational sphere, inclusivity emerges as a cornerstone, ensuring that each child stepping into the classroom is poised for success. Smart Cookie, an innovative educational brand tailored for elementary students, is dedicated to crafting inclusive materials accessible to all learners. Through extensive research and dialogues with educators, I identified a notable gap in the quality and content of current educational materials. Hindered by limited classroom budgets, teachers often resort to outdated resources, perpetuating a cycle of convenience over relevance. Yet, the reality dictates that classroom materials and learning aids necessitate regular updates to align with our ever-changing world. At Smart Cookie, inclusivity serves as the bedrock for all material development, ensuring every student finds comfort and recognition within their learning environment. This inclusivity extends beyond mere representation in characters to encompass the ethos of lessons and dialogues fostered. By showcasing a diverse range of characters and perspectives, Smart Cookie endeavors to instill a sense of belonging and empowerment in every child, recognizing that true learning flourishes in environments where students can see themselves reflected in the materials they engage with.
