Artist Biography
Aoli Lynch, ‘24, is an architectural studies student with a strong interest in landscape design, light, and color. Aoli grew up in Shanghai, China and the North Shore of Massachusetts. Her thesis is the Modern Museum of Accessibility; this museum is a prototype design for a space that highlights a sense of whimsy and ease and is a place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy, create, and learn. Aoli drew inspiration for this project from her experiences with accessible design at Walt Disney World and from French/Japanese architect/paper-artist Emmanuelle Moreaux. Aoli completed internships with Red Thread/Steelcase and System7, Inc. Since she was 14, Aoli has worked part-time on very high-end residential architectural and lighting design projects. Presently, Aoli works remotely part-time for Visual Comfort & Partners, assisting her manager in Hawaii with the development of a unique software that aligns design specifications and budget to create a more seamless project development process. Aoli is a paper-artist and enjoys creating modernist and floral 3-dimensional creations, stemming from an early interest in origami.
