Artist Biography
My name is Erika Lebherz and I am a senior Graphic Design student. I have always loved designing. When I decided to go into Graphic Design I was very intimidated at first but now love every second of it. I am able to push myself to create projects I am proud of. I am driven to create better designs with each project. As I’ve grown through the projects I’ve worked on I have found a love for illustrations. With this I try to include them in any project I can. I hope to work at an agency that works with a variety of clients.

Thesis Abstract
Inside Out
For my thesis, I knew immediately that I wanted to do a magazine. Through past projects I have really grown to love editorial design and thought this was a great opportunity to take it further. So, this is where my magazine, Inside Out was created. It is a fun and positive fashion magazine. Inside Out will have four editions produced each year. These editions will focus on a different season and have a color that corresponds to that season.
Inside Out has a variety of sections with the first being brand highlights. These brands were chosen extremely carefully. I made sure to choose brands that made their customers feel good and cared about the earth.
I have chosen to not show any faces in the photographs. This is to allow the viewer to see themselves through these models. By doing this I also want the viewer to feel comfortable and not feel like they are comparing themselves to those in the images. This is also why I chose to use the illustrations. The illustrations allow you to see the clothing but there is no person which reinforces the viewer to focus on the clothing rather than the models.
There are also other sections like thrift flips and ethical accessories. I wanted the viewer to get more out of the magazine which is why I included those different sections. The app is also available as a paperless version of the magazine. Subscribers are also able to choose their type of subscription!
