Emma Greco

Artist Biography

Interior design has been a passion of Emma’s ever since she was a little girl. Her mother graduated from Endicott College’s Interior Design program in 1988, which allowed her to be exposed to both the profession and the program from a very young age. Since Emma can remember, She has wanted to be an interior designer. Emma has always been so inspired by watching her mother work and plans to follow in her footsteps. Endicott’s Interior Design program has exposed Emma to so many different types of design. Whether it’s residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, or even healthcare, she has obtained true and meaningful experience in the designing process for spaces in each of these industries. Emma has a passion for residential design as well as hospitality and hopes to stay on that path after graduation. These past four years at Endicott have not only been the most challenging, but have been the best years of Emma’s life. The Endicott College Interior Design program has helped make her dreams a reality, and she cannot thank Endicott enough for that. Emma will forever be grateful for this institution and all of those within it that have helped her throughout her academic career.

Thesis Abstract

Offering various employment opportunities for individuals with Down Syndrome is proven to be incredibly beneficial. Whether it’s cooking, working in a cafe, creating and selling art, or simply volunteering here at Rise & Grind, occupations for these individuals help show themselves and others what they are capable of. Occupations for individuals with Down Syndrome also give them a sense of independence while simultaneously improving their social and cognitive skills.
