Thesis Abstract

The Mainstay Hotel is part of the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio and welcomes cardiac patients, along with their informal caregivers, into a healing and community-centered environment. In order to achieve this type of hotel, Elisabeth researched healing spaces, biophilia, and different avenues of patient support. Based on her findings, she created a hotel with amenities and design elements for overall wellness and to promote a sense of belonging.
