Artist Biography
Leah Tenney is a member of Endicott College’s class of 2022, graduating with a B.F.A in Interior Architecture. She has always had a creative side, but never found an exact medium to pursue until arriving at Endicott and discovering her love for the major. Since a very young age, Leah has been pursuing competitive dressage. After spending several winters with her horse in Florida, she began to see a possible niche for equestrian interior architecture. Leah’s hope is to combine her two passions after graduation and start her own LLC, designing beautiful homes and equestrian facilities.
Thesis Abstract
When refugees enter the United States, they will inevitably face hurdles while creating a new life. Resources are limited, take too long to access, and are elusive to those unfamiliar to the process. Open Door bridges access to social services, healthcare access, education, and community involvement for refugees in Portland, Maine. Our organization strives to build a stronger multicultural community, as well as addressing literacy and accommodations. Open Door provides an ample amount of resources and residences that aid refugees in starting fresh in the United States.
