Artist Biography
Ashley Baker will graduate in May of 2022 with a BFA in Interior Architecture and a minor in Sociology. She shares a deep connection with the environment and hopes to bring elements of nature and sustainable building practice into her career. Her decision to pursue design was based on this connection as she acknowledges the large impact that the built environment has on our daily lives, and believes that constructing this environment with nature in mind will benefit all communities greatly. After graduation, Ashley will be working at OLSON LEWIS + Architects, a firm that conducts a variety of different projects anywhere from life science to residential spaces.

Thesis Abstract
While people continue to become more sustainably conscious, they lack the in-depth knowledge and resources to make impactful, sustainable choices when creating their own interior spaces. Educating people on the benefits that correspond with a strong connection to nature, and the various habits they can undertake to obtain an honest relationship with the earth, will encourage humanity to nurture the environment while, consequently, fostering the pursuit of their own individuality.
