Thesis Abstract
Leaving your culture and community behind to study in a foreign country takes courage. These students are faced with many challenges assimilating to their new environment. A multicultural community center specifically for international students can provide the resources to build their confidence to join their new community. An opportunity to share their backgrounds with others while immersing with others around them will create a confluence of cultures, illuminating what it takes to build community, confidence, and connections.
