Thesis Abstract
Growth in larger metropolitan areas has contributed to increasing prices for residential homeowners and renters alike. Although for renters, it has become increasingly difficult to find a place to live within their price range. At Crossroads, young adults and professionals who are looking for more affordable and sustainable options for housing are given the opportunity to find quality apartments at lower rates. Young adults ages 20-30 are often overlooked for housing assistance, as their wages are insufficient for the rising cost of living, as well as having to pay off any loans or expenses associated with their education. Located in Lynn, MA, many people work in larger cities such as Boston and need to find living accommodations within their price range. Crossroads aims to provide affordable living solutions to young adults who want to establish their footing within the community, while also providing opportunities to create lifelong connections with other adults their age.
