Thesis Abstract
Balance is a holistic fitness center for college students within the Boston area to come together and find support and build a strong community. Generation Z is a very social generation, and over the past few years with the COVID-19 pandemic, they have lost that sense of community and socialization which has resulted in an increase in mental health issues. Balance is a fitness center that focuses on combining nature and community to create a restorative and positive environment where students can learn and grow together through their mental health journeys. Creating a fitness center that increases socialization, integrates holistic care, and enhances a strong connection with nature, will improve the way young adults view their mental health and help them focus on overall well-being.
