Artist Biography
Blended Emerging Artist Residency aims to create a positive space for the community through creativity and education. Encouraging today’s youth at an early age keeps them present and engaged through all aspects of their life. I experienced a program similar to this, when I was seventeen, and learned a lot about myself and matured greatly over the month-long program.
The goals of blended are to establish a positive outlet for young minds to grow, provide future opportunities for the next generation and develop future leaders.
Thesis Abstract
Establishing an emerging artist residency center will lead to individual and communal collaboration. The goals of the project are to encourage leadership / motivational tendencies, personal growth and increased community participation in these young artists. The most important design goal of my space is to create a community canvas. By establishing connections within the community, an artist’s trust and participation with the center grows.
