Nicole Cella

Artist Biography

Nicole Cella has always had a strong passion for design. Ever since she was little, she had crayons in her hands ready to create something new. At a very young age, Nicole knew that her career was going to be very creative, and she knew she had the drive to get her there. Interior Architecture has allowed Nicole to embrace her creativity, while also involving her structured and organized mindset. Studying Interior Architecture at Endicott College over the past four years has allowed Nicole to grow as an interior designer and realize the impact she can have on society. With her passions in design focused more on restaurant and hospitality, Nicole hopes to make a difference in people’s lives by creating spaces that excite them and make them wonder how it could ever be created. Although these past four years have been challenging, Nicole would never trade them because they have brought her to this moment of realizing her potential in design. She is so grateful for Endicott and its community for helping her along the way.

Thesis Abstract

My thesis is centered around the question of, how can connections with emotional support, therapy and companion dogs benefit the mental health of people suffering from chronic depression. Located in Seattle, Washington, this adoption and visitation center will offer people with depression the opportunity to improve their mental health through non-prescriptive forms of treatment while also educating them on the human animal bond.
